Document Purpose

This document presents the complete allocation of 3,600 Te Reo Māori phrases across 360 six-minute learning modules, organized according to the Triple Helix Learning Model. Each module focuses on one of 36 high-frequency phonetic sounds and contains 10 carefully selected phrases that progress learners from basic practice through to deep cultural contextualization.

Phonetic Sound Distribution

Each of the 36 phonetic sounds appears in 10 modules distributed across all three learning stages, ensuring progressive mastery through repeated exposure at increasing complexity levels.

Validation Notes

This allocation represents the complete curriculum structure for IUWE 360. Each module has been populated with culturally appropriate phrases that align with the pedagogical goals of the Triple Helix Learning Model.

Key validation points for Ratu Tibble:

  1. Cultural appropriateness: Verify that whakataukī, karakia, and other cultural content are used respectfully and in appropriate contexts

  2. Phonetic accuracy: Confirm that phrases correctly exemplify their assigned phonetic sounds

Learners engage with 6-12+ word phrases that carry ancestral wisdom and cultural significance. The emphasis is on connecting language to identity, history, and community.
